Promotion: playful shapes and handcrafted wooden frames are among the defining features in furniture collections set to be shown at the Look Book exhibition at this year's ICFF in New York City.
More than 60 designers will show their work in Look Book during the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), which will be presented in partnership with Dezeen.
The exhibition is a curated event for members of the art and design community to connect with North American designers and source designs for their next creative projects.
In this roundup, we've collected 15 of the featured designers set to bring their designs to New York City for the exhibition from 18 to 20 May 2025.

Reggyyy
Tom is a lounge chair by Reggyyy with an abstract shape made from a wooden structure covered in polyurethane foam and velvet fabric.
Its playful, organic shape was designed to have a creature-like appearance, aiming to decorate a room without creating the feeling of empty seats.
Tong
Based in Los Angeles, design studio Tong aims to introduce beauty, sustainability and functionality to its furniture, lighting and objects.
Founded by designer Xiaotong Wang, the studio's pieces blend influences from Chinese and Western culture, as well as traditional and modern crafting techniques.
ZKW Studio
New York-based furniture designer and artist Kewei Zhao from ZKW Studio takes reference from the natural world in his design process.
The Tree Heart table – as pictured – is made from cherry wood and is designed to imitate a tree stump. The piece can be used as a coffee table, stool or as an object children can play under.
Ah Um
Established by Los Angeles-based designer Zack Nestel-Patt in 2023, Ah Um has produced a collection of wooden furniture with sculptural silhouettes.
The handmade pieces feature geometric outlines crafted from wood, intending to add warmth to interiors.
Koba
Designers Sam Acuff and Sam Gibbons have come together to form Koba, a furniture line in Baltimore that hopes to bring joy to homes.
Koba's furniture includes circular wooden seats and boxy drawers set atop colourful, rounded legs.
Samindaman
Designer Samuel Aguirre used bio-based materials to form sculptural, organic furniture for his studio, Samindaman.
Circularity is at the forefront of Aguirre's designs, who says, "There is a transformative power in learning and preserving techniques that enrich our understanding of culture and contribute to sustainable living and industry".
Fernweh Woodworking
Curved wooden frames unify furniture pieces by Fernweh Woodworking, which were made in a wood shop and leather studio in Bend, Oregon.
Pictured above is the Oxbend Side Table in walnut wood and the Fjoon Armed Settee, which has a swooping frame that can be upholstered in leather or fabric.
Ayako Aratani
Japanese designer Ayako Aratani drew upon themes of balance, harmony and imperfection in her furniture.
She used a brass brazing joining technique on steel, which is contrasted with soft furnishings.
Mary Ratcliffe Studio
Founded by designer Mary Ratcliffe, Mary Ratcliffe Studio produces handmade furniture such as benches and mirrors that have a precise attention to detail.
The studio's work is informed by contrasts: masculine and feminine energy; yin and yang; and the materiality of soft and rough.
Ināt Furniture
Montreal-based design studio Ināt Furniture produces high-quality wooden furniture that is functional and built to last.
Each piece is handcrafted with traditional joinery techniques and aims to be cherished for generations.
Eric Jacoby Design
Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Eric Jacoby Design drew from its architectural background to design long-lasting furniture and toys.
Among the studio's designs are staple wooden furniture pieces, including the Strata Lounge Chair, Tectonic Arm Chair and Tectonic Stool.
Jomo
Drawing reference from African architecture and design, Virginia-based designer Jomo Tariku creates furniture crafted from rich, natural materials.
Jomo furniture includes sculptural chairs, stools and benches that also take reference from Africa's rich cultural heritage, wildlife and landscapes.
Sawyer Made
George Sawyer from design studio Sawyer Made creates custom-made chairs and seating informed by traditional Shaker design.
The chairs are handmade one at a time using green wood and are designed to last up to 200 years.
Wren & Cooper
Wren & Cooper's furniture is defined by hardwood surfaces and simple silhouettes made by hand.
Based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the studio aspires to continue the legacy of furniture making in the region, which was home to 20th-century designers George Nakashima and Paul Evans.
Ian Love Design
Brooklyn designer Ian Love creates experimental furniture made of wood, resin and stone.
Love produces one-of-a-kind pieces due to his intuitive design process that focuses on emphasising the object's materiality.
