My current EDC is becoming about getting back to basics. Not pictured is my iPhone Mini 13 because sure it’s always on me but it’s not my favorite part of my EDC, mostly just a necessary piece of tech. I’ve been focusing on going more analog since losing a job and my dad last year, the longboard may not always be on my person but when the weather is nice it’s in my car so I can cruise and contemplate, the pen and notebook have become essential for writing song and photo ideas or just processing emotions in a time of healing. I’ve been collecting knives since I was about 6 years old which brings us to the knife, one of my grails since a Vero can be hard to get your hands on and are a bit pricey, it’s so slicey and fidgety and I love when I get to use it to open boxes at work!

The instax camera has made it’s way into my EDC since the birth of my son in 2023, I love getting to snap a quick pic and print it out to hang on my workstation so I always have a reminder of why I go to work everyday.

Finally, the Seiko in my watch collection was a gift to my dad from my mom. He and I never had a great relationship even though we both worked at it and when he passed I wanted something to help me feel connected to him even though he’s gone, it makes it onto my wrist more than any other watch I own even though the bezel is stuck and it has a broken button.
