SSP secures contract to operate four more F&B outlets at Perth Airport
With this latest contract win, SSP further strengthens its footprint in Australia delivering a compelling mix of global brands and locally inspired concepts to enhance the passenger journey at Perth Airport.

AUSTRALIA. SSP has been awarded a contract to operate four new food & beverage units at Perth Airport Terminal 1 International.
The outlets, which will complement SSP’s existing presence at the Western Australian gateway, are scheduled to open in 2025.
A key objective in curating the offer was to create a strong sense of place, with the concepts designed to deliver an authentic Western Australian experience. To achieve this, SSP has collaborated with local producers to ensure ingredients are sourced as locally as possible.
WA Cellar, a bespoke bar and casual dining concept developed specifically for Perth Airport, will showcase the flavours and aesthetics of Western Australia. The design, inspired by the region’s natural landscape, features elements of rock and cave formations alongside burnished copper and aged patinas, creating a raw yet industrial ambiance.
The menu will highlight Western Australian wines and craft beverages through its rugged aesthetic. The breakfast menu includes dishes such as Eggs Benedict Focaccia, Avocado Affair (a dish with haloumi and free-range poached egg on sourdough) and Crab Omelette.
Signature mains include the WA Bush Burger with kangaroo steak, Rock Lobster Ravioli and Calamari Fritti, complemented by freshly made pizzas from a dedicated pizza oven.
Co & Co (Coffee & Cocktails) is another tailor-made concept set to provide travellers with an authentic regional culinary experience. Its design reflects Western Australia’s diverse natural beauty, incorporating a colour palette inspired by water, earth, sky and trees.
The space combines soft curves with structured elements, creating an inviting yet visually striking setting.
Co & Co will serve locally roasted coffee and a curated cocktail menu featuring the ‘Wild West’ cocktail, crafted with WA Swan River Distillery Miners Gin. The food offering includes tacos, bao buns and a selection of sweet treats, with a strong emphasis on local wines, beers and ingredients.
SSP is introducing Roll’d, a well-known Australian Vietnamese food chain, to Terminal 1 International. With over 100 locations nationwide, Roll’d brings its signature fresh Vietnamese cuisine to Perth Airport. This follows previous successful openings with SSP at Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin and Brisbane airports.
The menu will feature classics such as Seafood Pho, BBQ Chicken Soldiers and Vietnamese iced coffee, continuing the brand’s commitment to sharing authentic family recipes with Australian travellers.
Sushi Jiro will mark a milestone as the first dedicated sushi outlet in Perth’s Terminal 1 International. Specialising in modern Japanese cuisine, Sushi Jiro is known for its high-quality ingredients and visually appealing dishes.
Sushi Jiro focuses on providing a welcoming and distinctive dining experience. The restaurant features friendly and attentive staff, an authentic and modern sushi menu and a well-designed dining space.
SSP will implement a QR code-based ordering system for common area seating, enabling at-table ordering from multiple outlets. This innovation is designed to enhance convenience and streamline the dining experience for passengers in the terminal.
SSP Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Robinson commented: “We’ve been a long-standing partner of Perth Airport (PAPL) for five years and are delighted to continue to serve its passengers through this prestigious contract win. As food travel experts, we have a deep knowledge and understanding of the food and beverage Australian travellers love, and we’re certain that our new dining concepts, with a strong focus on the Australian and Asian cuisines, will be very popular to those flying in and out of Perth.”
Perth Airport Chief Commercial & Aviation Officer, Kate Holsgrove added: “We’ve seen our airline partners show confidence in the Perth market by increasing and adding new international services which has led to a +23% surge in international passengers in 2024 compared to 2023, hitting a record 4.8 million in the calendar year.
“As a growing airport we want to ensure we have a range of quality food and beverage options for our passengers. We look forward to working with the globally experienced team at SSP to deliver four new exciting outlets in Terminal 1 International which will enhance the customer experience at Perth Airport.”
As reported, Perth Airport revealed its ‘one airport’ concept in late 2024, outlining its vision for the future of aviation in Western Australia. The A$5 billion (US$3.2 billion) investment programme – the largest private infrastructure development in Perth – will integrate all flights into the Airport Central precinct. The project will also feature a new parallel runway, terminal facilities, two multi-storey carparks with associated roadworks, an upgrade of Terminal 2 and the airport’s first hotel.
