Marie Davidson touring for ‘City of Clowns,’ playing Ruins at Knockdown Center with Alice Glass

Montreal’s Marie Davidson has made one of the electronic albums of the year so far with City of Clowns, which she made with her Essaie Pas partner Pierre Guerineau and co-producers Stephen and David Dewaele of Soulwax (whose label, DEEWEE, also released the album), and it mixes killer coldwave techno and EBM with fierce politics (read our review). She’ll be on tour this April, including a special Making Time 25th anniversary show in Philly on April 26 at the Warehouse on Watts with Dave P and more TBA. All dates are listed below.

Marie has also just announced an NYC show happening at The Ruins at Knockdown Center on May 29 with Alice Glass and a DJ set from Andi of Synthicide, who are presenting the show alongside Saint Vitus. (Currently this is a one-off for Alice Glass.) This will be the first show of the outdoor venue’s 2025 season and tickets go on sale Thursday, March 20 at 1 PM.
