WPGM Previews: Reading Festival 2025

As summer 2025 approaches, music lovers are gearing up for one of the most iconic festivals in the UK – Reading Festival. Taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend 21-24 August, this year’s edition promises an electrifying mix of rock, rap, indie, and dance acts that will make it an unforgettable experience for festival-goers.

This year’s headliners ensure that fans from all corners of the music world will have something to enjoy. Friday’s line up is led by the soulful Hozier, whose folk-infused anthems, including “Take Me to Church” and “Eat Your Young,” are sure to captivate the Reading crowd.

Sharing the spotlight is Chappell Roan, whose rise to stardom has been meteoric, bringing her unique pop sound and theatrical energy to the Reading stage. We can’t wait to see an entire festival crowd doing Hot To Go!

Joining them on Friday are indie rock band The Kooks and Bloc Party, delivering their iconic hits and new material, while AJ Tracey brings some high-energy rap into the mix. Rudimental will ensure that dance lovers are well catered to, and bands like Wallows, Soft Play, and artist Lola Young add even more depth to the first day’s lineup.

Saturday turns up the volume with an emo dream double headlining act: Bring Me The Horizon and Limp Bizkit. Metalcore and nu-metal fans can have their day as BMTH brings their ever-evolving sound and high-energy performances which Reading has seen and loved previously, while Limp Bizkit’s nostalgic and rebellious anthems will surely get the crowd bouncing.

Further adding to Saturday’s appeal are Becky Hill, whose powerhouse vocals have dominated the charts, and Enter Shikari, known for their genre-defying mix of electronic rock. Fans of alternative and indie music will be excited for Conan Gray, Wunderhorse and Baker each bringing a unique style to the festival.

Sunday’s lineup is nothing short of a spectacle, with global rap sensation Travis Scott headlining in an exclusive European performance. Known for his high-energy sets, mind-blowing visuals, and hits like “Sicko Mode” and “Goosebumps,” Travis Scott is expected to deliver one of the most unforgettable sets of the weekend.

D-Block Europe joins the bill, bringing their signature blend of UK rap and melodic flows. Dance and electronic fans can look forward to Sammy Virji’s pulsating beats, while hip-hop and alternative sounds are well represented by Trippie Redd. Punk rock fans will be thrilled with Amyl and The Sniffers’ high-octane performance, and Suki Waterhouse’s ethereal indie pop is sure to enchant the crowd.

Beyond the headliners, Reading Festival 2025 boasts an impressive undercard featuring some of the most promising new artists. Keep an eye out for Bilmuri, Nieve Ella, and Lambrini Girls, each bringing a fresh and innovative sound to the festival. Girls Don’t Sync, Good Kid, and Lancey Foux will further showcase rising talent, making sure there’s something for everyone throughout the weekend.

Reading Festival has long been known for its incredible atmosphere, drawing in music fans from across the country and beyond. With multiple stages, exciting food vendors, and plenty of surprises in store, this year’s event is set to be one of the biggest yet. Whether you’re moshing to metal, vibing to hip-hop, or getting lost in an indie ballad, Reading 2025 promises to be a festival to remember.
