Ken Casey, lead singer of the Dropkick Murphys, had choice words for a fan who wore a pro-Donald Trump hat to the band’s show in Boston Saturday night: “We’re gonna play a song about our grandparents and people who fought Nazis in the war and s–t, if you could just shut the f–k up for five minutes.”

Casey apparently spotted the hat after the man insisted on holding it up “all f–king night.”

He began his fiery rant by noting that Republicans “all wear” a “Chinese f–king red” MAGA hat that he believes is “dying their brains.” Then, he continued, “you’ve got the black-on-black Elon Musk, true Nazi edition.”

“Bro, listen, I admire your dedication,” Casey continued, “but I will ask everyone, if you’re in a room full of people and you want to know who’s in a cult, how do you know who’s in a cult?” He pointed at the man again. “They’ve been holding up a f–king hat the whole night to represent a president.”

“This is America,” he continued, “there’s no kings here!”

As the audience cheered, Casey added, “Anyway, anyway, if you mind, sir, we’re gonna play a song about our grandparents and people who fought Nazis in the war and s–t. So if you could just shut the f–k up for five minutes.”

The band has been especially outspoken against Trump while on tour. As reported by the Boston Globe, while playing a show in Clearwater, Florida, in March Casey bet a fan in the crowd that his MAGA hat and shirt were not made in the United States.

“The reason we speak out, we don’t care if we lose fans, because when history is said and done, we want it known that the Dropkick Murphys stood with the people, we stood with the workers,” Casey told fans at the show. “It’s all a f–king scam, guys.”

He also said the band “always sells proudly made in America merchandise only.” Casey then turned to the fan and added, “And here’s the bet I’d like to make: If you lose the bet, we switch shirts, OK? If you win the bet, I give you $100 and the shirt.”

“It’s made in Nicaragua!” Casey yelled triumphantly. “He’s taking the shirt off. We’re taking crime off the streets.”
