Plaza Premium Group bolsters Taiwan presence with fifth lounge at Taipei Songshan Airport

Travel hospitality specialist Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has extended its Taiwan footprint with a fifth location at Taipei Songshan Airport.

The opening marks PPG’s only standalone lounge at the travel hub, with access available for a nominal fee or complimentary with designated credit cards.

PPG has grown its presence in Taiwan since entering the market in 2016, now operating four additional lounges at Taipei Taoyuan Airport.

The new lounge features culinary offerings reflecting a strong sense of place, with made-to-order Taiwanese dishes and a buffet showcasing local specialities, including Taiwan’s signature shacha beef noodles – made with tender beef, chewy noodles and umami-rich shacha sauce, rooted in Chaoshan (Teochew) cuisine.

Another famous local dish on the menu is the braised pork rice, with tender pork belly cooked in a savoury soy sauce, star anise and garlic blend, paired with pickled mustard greens.

Guests can also enjoy the Taiwanese hotdog – a charcoal-grilled pork sausage wrapped in a glutinous rice sausage.

Other options include traditional bamboo rice – glutinous rice cooked in fresh bamboo for a distinct taste and aroma, and Taiwanese rice noodle soup, alongside a variety of vegetarian dishes.

The new lounge features well-lit spaces, comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere

A stand-out feature of the lounge is an art gallery showcasing works by Taiwanese artist Yi Shuan Wu, whose exclusive pieces reflect local elements.

The lounge offers a spacious and stylish setting with ample seating, a free internet zone and pre-bookable VIP rooms. ‍
