Orthodox announce new LP ft. members of Mastodon, Comeback Kid & Boundaries
Watch the video for the Nashville metalcore band’s supremely heavy, no-holds-barred new single ”Searching For A Pulse” now.

Nashville metalcore band Orthodox have announced a new album, A Door Left Open, due June 6 via Century Media (pre-order). It was produced by past collaborator Randy LeBoeuf (whose credits also include The Acacia Strain, Jesus Piece, Dying Wish, etc), and it features guest vocals from Mastodon’s Brann Dailor, Comeback Kid’s Andrew Neufeld, and Boundaries’ Matt McDougal. The song with Andrew Neufeld came out in February, right before Orthodox did a string of support dates on Comeback Kid’s Wake the Dead 20th anniversary tour, and second single “Searching For A Pulse” is out now.
Vocalist Adam Easterling says the song is “about a reoccurring dream I would get every time we left for tour that my house was burning down and I couldn’t make it home in time to save it,” and the song is two minutes and 40 seconds of supremely heavy, no-holds-barred metalcore rage. Check it out, along with its Anthony Altamura-directed video, below.
Orthodox have one upcoming date at the moment, opening Gates To Hell‘s album release show in Louisville on March 22, alongside Internal Bleeding, Hold My Own, Gored Embrace, and Gaargoyle. More Orthodox dates TBA “soon.”
