Fans react to ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel trailer: “I’ll be there!”

Fans of Freaky Friday have been reacting excitedly to the release of the trailer for the sequel Freakier Friday.

The new film will be released on August 8 and will see the stars of the 2003 movie – Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis – return as their characters Anna and Tess Coleman, a mother and daughter whose bodies were swapped thanks to a mysterious fortune cookie.

This time around, Anna and Tess are part of a four-way body swap that also includes Anna’s teenage daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter, played by Julia Butters and Sophia Hammons respectively.

The first glimpse of the film has got fans nostalgic and excited to return to the Freaky Friday world. “So excited to see Lindsay Lohan back on the big screen!” wrote one fan on X. “Freaky Friday is one the Disney comedy gems of the 2000s that I adore & Jamie Lee Curtis is comedy gold in this role. Good to see a mid budget movie get a big summer release! I’ll be there!”
