A new horror film from A24 is now playing in theaters, the latest Samara Weaving genre movie is available for you at home, and Terrifier 3 now has its own official streaming documentary.

Now streaming on SCREAMBOX is the horror-thriller Uncontained, in which a mysterious drifter struggles to protect an abandoned boy and his little sister from an infection that turns people into a feral-like state and a ruthless militia leader searching for his missing daughter.

Uncontained marks the feature debut of police officer-turned-video game writer and technical director Morley Nelson (The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, MIB: Alien Crisis).
Morley Nelson also stars alongside Peter O’Meara (Band of Brothers), Hayley LeBlanc, Brett Zimmerman (Call of Duty: WWII), and Courtney Blythe Turk.
If you thought the housing market was scary, wait until you watch For Sale by Exorcist. Executive produced by The Blair Witch Project director Eduardo Sanchez, the horror-comedy mockumentary was released onto VOD by DREAD this past Tuesday.
Melissa LaMartina (Amanda the Adventurer) makes her feature directorial debut from a script by husband Chris LaMartina (WNUF Halloween Special) and Rob Walker.
In For Sale by Exorcist, “Susan Price is a savvy realtor and certified exorcist who’s spent years flipping haunted houses across the country, but as she hunts for her own forever home, the ghosts she’s evicted return for revenge. Will Susan settle with these vengeful spirits… or could she lose her life along with her down payment?”
Emily Classen, John Dimes, Tatiana Ford, Julian Ball, Helenmary Ball, and Penny Nichols star.
“For a movie with a groin-grabbing succubus and death-metal necromancers, For Sale By Exorcist has a surprising amount of heart,” said Melissa LaMartina. “At its core, the story is about creating community and finding a place for everyone in it—living or otherwise.”
There is something really bad happening in this house. A weekend getaway to meet the parents turns terrifyingly funny in Max Original The Parenting, now streaming on Max.
What if Meet the Parents took place in a haunted house, forcing the family members to fight off ghosts, demons and rabid wolf-dogs? Watch the trailer for The Parenting for a taste!
The horror-comedy follows young couple Rohan and Josh as they plan a perfect weekend getaway in the country to introduce their parents. As tensions flare between the traditional Sharon and Frank and the laid-back Liddy and Cliff, the families soon realize that their rental – managed by eccentric local Brenda – is haunted by the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist.
When one parent becomes thoroughly possessed, it’s up to the young couple and their meddlesome BFF Sara to unite the families and stop the evil entity once and for all.
The Parenting features an impressive cast of familiar faces including Nik Dodani (Rohan), Brandon Flynn (Josh), Brian Cox (Frank), Edie Falco (Sharon), Lisa Kudrow (Liddy), Dean Norris (Cliff), Parker Posey (Brenda), and Vivian Bang (Sara).
The film hails from director Craig Johnson (The Skeleton Twins) and “Saturday Night Live” scribe Kent Sublette. It’s produced by Chris Bender and Jake Weiner; executive producers include Richard Brener, Chris Pan, David Neustadter, and Jared Ian Goldman.
A Hulu Original horror movie starring Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi actor Kelly Marie Tran as a woman afflicted with a demonic parasite, Control Freak is now streaming.
In psychological thriller Control Freak, Kelly Marie Tran plays Valerie, “a woman whose life spirals into chaos due to this inexplicable and relentless affliction.”
Opposite Tran, Miles Robbins (Daniel Isn’t Real) plays her on-screen husband Robbie. Toan Le rounds out the cast as Valerie’s father, Sang, with Kieu Chinh as Aunt Thuy.
The WorthenBrooks and Hulu Original horror movie was written and directed by Shal Ngo (The Park, “The Box”), an expansion of his own 2021 horror short titled “Control.”
There’s no cult like celebrity. A24’s first new horror movie of 2025 is writer-director Mark Anthony Green’s Opus, which opens nationwide in theaters beginning today, March 14.
The film has been described as “a tense, psychosocial game of cat and mouse.”
In Opus, “A young writer is invited to the remote compound of a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared 30 years ago. Surrounded by the star’s cult of sycophants and intoxicated journalists, she finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan.” The film is rated “R” for “violent content including a grisly image, language, sexual material and brief graphic nudity.”
Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) and John Malkovich (Billions) star in A24’s Opus alongside Amber Midthunder (Prey) and Juliette Lewis (“Yellowjackets”), Murray Bartlett (“The White Lotus”), Stephanie Suganami (Power Book II: Ghost), Young Mazino (Beef), Tony Hale (Woman of the Hour) and Tatanka Means (Killers of the Flower Moon).
From the writer of Cocaine Bear, and the producers of Barbie and Promising Young Woman, Borderline starring Samara Weaving has also been released ahead of the weekend.
You can watch Borderline in select theaters or on Digital platforms now!
Eric Dane and Ray Nicholson also star in director Jimmy Warden‘s (writer: Cocaine Bear) movie. Warden wrote the film, and makes his directorial debut with Borderline.
In Borderline, “A violent sociopath Paul (Nicholson) escapes from a mental hospital and embarks on a dangerous rampage. His target: Sofia ( Weaving), a world-famous pop star. An obsessive fan, he takes Sofia hostage in her own home, delusionally believing they’re getting married.
“Paul is desperate to prove his dedication but Sofia’s just trying to survive the night. As Paul grows more unhinged, his fantasy becomes more dangerous. With help from her loyal bodyguard (Eric Dane), Sofia must fight not only her life, but for her sanity, and escape the sinister grip of her stalker and his growing group of accomplices.”
The cast also includes Alba Baptista and Jimmie Fails.

And while it’s not a horror movie, we’d also like to mention that the bloody action movie Novocaine starring Jack Quaid and Amber Midthunder is now playing in theaters.
Dan Berk & Robert Olsen (Villains, Significant Other) directed the genre-bender.
In the extremely violent film written by Lars Jacobson, “When the girl of his dreams (Prey‘s Amber Midthunder) is kidnapped, everyman Nate (Scream‘s Jack Quaid) turns his inability to feel pain into an unexpected strength in his fight to get her back.”
Meagan wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Novocaine delivers on exactly what it sets out to do: deliver a raucously entertaining time at the movies. It’s designed to be seen on a big screen with a crowd groaning in real time over torn nails, deep-fried flesh, and surprise reveals while cheering the hapless Nate on his brutal journey for the sake of love.”
“It’s funny, gory, and oh so much fun,” Meagan adds in her review.
