THE BOYS Star Jack Quaid’s Dream Role is a BIOSHOCK Movie

Jack Quaid is no stranger to taking on larger-than-life roles, but when it comes to his dream gig, he’s got his sights set on something straight out of Rapture. The Boys star, who proudly calls himself a “huge video game nerd”, recently took part in a Reddit AMA for his new action movie Novocaine, where a fan asked him about his ultimate acting aspiration. He responded: “I would actually love to be in a live action adaptation of BioShock—one of my favorite games of all time. I think there’s such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation.”BioShock is already on its way as Netflix has been developing a live-action film adaptation with director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) at the helm. But there's been a shake-up behind the scenes. Producer Roy Lee revealed at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con that the streamer has scaled back its ambitions, saying they’re now working on a “much smaller version” after Netflix “lowered the budgets.”No casting has been announced for the BioShock project yet, so I guess there’s a chance Quaid could be appraoched about joining, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Some fans have other ideas for Quaid, though, and they have pointed out his resemblance to another video game icon, Max Payne. In regard to that the actor said:“I’ve seen people say that I look like Max Payne, and when I’ve looked at the box art, even I did a double-take. I love Rockstar’s games, but unfortunately I’ve never played that one—it’s next on the list, for sure.”
