Firenut Games and Digital Dream have followed up their release of the demo for their upcoming psychological horror title Baptiste with a the official announcement trailer. Mixed with a bit of gameplay, the new trailer offers a glimpse into the creepy universe of Baptiste, which is slated to arrive later this year.
Grief-stricken and desperate for a fresh start, Sara and her son Tom retreat to the isolated cliffs of Jagged Shore, where an old mansion promises a new beginning. But within its walls, time has twisted into something unnatural. Hidden in the house, they find a locked cabinet containing an eerie doll, its blackened eyes seeming to follow their every move. A warning is etched into the wood: “Never release this from its glass prison.”
Meanwhile, the previously-released demo allows you to experience the first 30 minutes of Baptiste. As Tom, you explore the mansion, uncovering gruesome secrets that will reveal a story of pain and horror that is “beyond belief.” The developers have emphasized the game’s atmosphere, with the darkness hiding your worst fears.
In addition, the teams have asked for feedback from players on the game’s Steam page to help them “build the most terrifying and immersive experience possible.”
In addition to PC, Baptiste is currently in development for PC the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series.
