Blue Protocol Music Collection Will Appear Digitally Next Week
Bandai Namco has revealed that it is working with Lantis to release an album containing tracks from the now-defunct online game Blue Protocol. The album, titled Blue Protocol Music Collection, will be available exclusively on digital platforms in Japan on March 26, 2025. The digital-exclusive album will contain 45 tracks in total. It will mostly feature in-game BGMs composed by Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto. However, it will also include L'Arc~en~Ciel's theme song "Mirai" as the last entry. In addition, some of the tracks will feature vocals by Ayaka Senbongi, Yoko Hikasa, and Ayaka Ohashi, who were the respective voice actresses for Charlotte, Millene, and Lalaforte. Blue Protocol seems to still get much attention from Bandai Namco even after its untimely demise. The company shut down the online game, which was still running only in Japan, on January 18, 2025. The English global release, which was still under development back then, was also ultimately canceled. The restructuring does not end there, however, as Bandai Namco Entertainment will absorb the now-defunct game's development studio, Bandai Namco Online, at the start of the upcoming fiscal year on April 1, 2025. The Blue Protocol Music Collection album will be available digitally on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. It will contain tracks from the online game that was available in Japan for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
