Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that Severance has been renewed for season three.
The post, which came just after midnight on Friday (March 21), responded to a tweet from show director Ben Stiller that said: “So some fans are asking for Season 3 of Severance. What do you say, @tim_cook?”
Cook, whose Apple TV+ service produces the show, then quote-tweeted the request with a video that showed scenes from the show including characters at work, meetings, and numbers being sorted into a folder marked “3”. The end of the clip then said “Severance. Renewed for season three”.

This is not the first time Cook has been used in promotion for the show. After walking through Lumon’s hallways, he is greeted by greeted by supervisor Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman).
“Tim C.,” Milchick says. “Core of the Apple. Please have a seat”. Cook does so, sitting in front of a monitor advertising the second season. Stiller shared this as well at the time, saying “Was helping this new guy find his office this morning…”.
