Really want to be Right where I am right now: on tour on a day off in the middle of nowhere Texas because I am living my dream! Touring the world is incredible.
Excited about This Consequence, the new Killswitch Engage album out now. I am proud of it, we all worked so hard on it.
My current music collection has a lot of World music.
And a little bit of Melancholic acoustic.
Preferred format I am on the move a great deal, so predominately streaming.
Although I do love to sit in my bar/living room and listen to vinyl.
5 Albums I Can’t Live Without:
1
Spiritchaser, Dead Can Dance

The album is magic to me, it takes me out of this world and sets my mind free. The brilliance of Lisa Gerard and Brendan Perry is unmatched. They opened the doors of music outside of hardcore, metal, and hip-hop for me when I was younger. This album draws from different cultures and sounds creating a sonic journey for the listener. It’s a staple in my regular listening.
2
Orbvs Terrarvm, The Orb

It is a multi-textured soundscape and upon each listen I hear new sounds and nuances. It is the most listened to album on my digital streaming platforms by hundreds of listens. I use it to soothe my mind and it has been the soundtrack to many adventures around the world. I enjoy and listen to all of their records, but this one is far above and beyond! It’s a psychedelic masterpiece.
3
Through Silver In Blood, Neurosis

When I was a teenager, I listened to this album. It transformed my brain and musical tastes. Neurosis are the pinnacle of creativity in heavy music, encompassing elements of various genres while carving out their own niche. The lyrics are poetic apocalyptic and foreboding as is their music. It is the soundtrack to a mental metamorphosis. Any time I listen to Neurosis I am constantly reminded [of how] music can be a means of expanding your mind and reaching new levels of creativity.
4
Disintegration, The Cure

Sheer beauty and great songwriting. To me this is the pinnacle of anything the Cure has written. This entire album is a vibe. It’s emotive and moving. The lyrics have a longing in them that you can feel from the first note sung to the last. Flawless album. This is the album that solidified my love for this band.
5
Modern Ruin, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes

This album is rock ‘n roll with a punk spirit. It’s great songs and insightful lyrics that you can’t help but sing along to after a few listens. It’s a great road-trip album. There is a real catharsis to what Frank writes about struggling with his self-reflection, as well as finding his way in the world. There is a good pace to this album and before you know it is over and time to play it again!
