Conclusion

You can get the Gold Plus Reward President’s Circle through various partnerships that Hertz has in place, and I guess it may come with some benefits.

I rent from Hertz perhaps twice a year and may have received an upgrade due to my status with them. It’s difficult to tell.

If you don’t have status with Hertz but have Gold or higher with IHG and rent from Hertz occasionally, it makes sense to match your status for any potential benefits.
