SEVERANCE Renewed for Season 3 at Apple TV+ - Praise Kier!

Well, it’s official! Severance is coming back for Season 3. Apple TV+ confirmed the renewal of the strange workplace thriller just a day after the Season 2 finale dropped. What started as a mind-bending workplace sci-fi drama with a devoted fanbase has now climbed the corporate ladder to become Apple TV+’s most-watched show during its second season. This is exciting news for a series that began as a quiet mystery with retro-futuristic vibes and eerie, fluorescent-lit hallways.Created by Dan Erickson and directed and produced by Ben Stiller, Severance stars Adam Scott as Adam Scott stars as Mark Scout, a man who undergoes a procedure that separates his work life and personal life. As Mark’s “outie” grieves the loss of his wife, his “innie” lives an entirely different existence behind the walls of the shady biotech company Lumon. Of course, Lumon and its experimental severance procedure aren’t exactly what they are advertised to be.Season 1 saw Mark and fellow severed employees Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zach Cherry), and Irving (John Turturro) begin to peel back Lumon’s cold corporate façade. Season 2 upped the ante, dropping hard truths and existential dread as the characters discovered who they are on the outside — and what it cost them to live split lives. The cast also includes Patricia Arquette, Tramell Tillman, Christopher Walken, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, and Michael Chernus.Looking ahead, Erickson has a plan to follow. Before the Season 2 premiere, he revealed, “A lot is mapped out for Season 3, and there is an endpoint for the series as a whole, and we know more or less how many seasons we are going to do.”And yes, everyone involved sounds genuinely thrilled (and maybe slightly disturbed) to keep going.Stiller said in a statement: “Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of. While I have no memory of this, I’m told making Season 3 will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”Scott said: “I couldn’t be more excited to get back to work with Ben, Dan, the incredible cast and crew, Apple and the whole ‘Severance’ team. Oh hey also — not a huge deal — but if you see my innie, please don’t mention any of this to him. Thanks.”Erickson added: “The idea of getting to make more ‘Severance’ with the greatest cast and crew on Earth is more thrilling to me than all the world’s finger traps combined. I can’t wait to continue spreading woe, frolic, dread and malice with these truly incredible people.”Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+ shared: “What Ben, Dan, Adam and the talented cast and crew behind ‘Severance’ have brought to the screen is undeniable magic. We’re so proud to be the home for this brilliant series and look forward to audiences experiencing what’s in store for Season 3.”If you’ve made it this far without filing a wellness complaint, congratulations. Your devotion to Kier is noted — and rewarded. Season 3 is coming. Just don’t tell your innie.

This is exciting news for a series that began as a quiet mystery with retro-futuristic vibes and eerie, fluorescent-lit hallways.

Created by Dan Erickson and directed and produced by Ben Stiller, Severance stars Adam Scott as Adam Scott stars as Mark Scout, a man who undergoes a procedure that separates his work life and personal life.

As Mark’s “outie” grieves the loss of his wife, his “innie” lives an entirely different existence behind the walls of the shady biotech company Lumon. Of course, Lumon and its experimental severance procedure aren’t exactly what they are advertised to be.

Season 1 saw Mark and fellow severed employees Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zach Cherry), and Irving (John Turturro) begin to peel back Lumon’s cold corporate façade. Season 2 upped the ante, dropping hard truths and existential dread as the characters discovered who they are on the outside — and what it cost them to live split lives.

The cast also includes Patricia Arquette, Tramell Tillman, Christopher Walken, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, and Michael Chernus.

Looking ahead, Erickson has a plan to follow. Before the Season 2 premiere, he revealed, “A lot is mapped out for Season 3, and there is an endpoint for the series as a whole, and we know more or less how many seasons we are going to do.”

And yes, everyone involved sounds genuinely thrilled (and maybe slightly disturbed) to keep going.
