Victoria Justice (“Suits LA”) and Robbie Amell (“Upload”) have joined the cast of filmmaker Josh Trank’s new horror-thriller feature “Send A Scare”.
The story centers on an interactive horror startup that gives thrill-seekers a way to send scares to friends and family.
When potential investors host a demonstration, the experience gets hijacked by a real masked killer with a deadly agenda.
Trank, best known for “Chronicle” and 2015’s failed “Fantastic Four” reboot, co-wrote the film with Andrew Ryan who came up with the original story.
It will mark Trank’s fourth feature film, his third being 2020’s “Capone” which went straight to VOD. Trank made headlines for his upfrontness about the failure of his “Fantastic Four,” saying on Letterboxd:
“I was 29 years old, making my 2nd film, in a situation more complicated than anything a 2nd time filmmaker should’ve walked into. That said… I don’t regret any of it. It’s a part of me.”
Karan Soni (“Deadpool”), Noel Fisher (“Capone”), Mackinlee Waddell (“1883”) and Adain Bradley (“Warfare”) will co-star in “Send A Scare” which Justice, Amell, Ryan, Trank, Ryan Scaringe, Austin Lantero, Steven Schneider and Amy Lippens will produce.
