LUKE CAGE Actor Mike Colter Still Has Hopes He Could Return to the Character: "I Don't Think It's Impossible"
Netflix introduced fans to The Defenders in their individual series Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. They were great shows, and Daredevil and Punisher have been able to make the transition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while the other characters have remained in limbo. Many have wondered if we will see Luke Cage or Jessica Jones appear in these new series like Daredevil: Born Again, but Marvel has remained tight lipped about the possibility. Luke Cage actor Mike Colter has been vocal about his willingness to return to the role, but has asserted that he has not heard anything that makes him feel like it’s happening anytime soon. He was asked again about whether he thinks it’s a possibility when he appeared at Indiana Comic Con. Colter said, "I still have hopes for it. I don't think about it anymore. I think there's always time. I don't think it's impossible. Anything can happen."Krysten Ritter, who played Jessica Jones on Netflix, has also said she'd love to return to Marvel. "One hundred percent. I am ready, and I would, of course, be there in a heartbeat," Ritter said last year. "She’s a character who I absolutely love, and she was a part of my life for so long. I played that character for five years, and she’s a character who’s very important to me and many women and men."I think it would be cool to see these characters return and be officially admitted to the MCU.
