“Thunderbolts” Runtime, Early Box-Office Talk

Marvel Studios’ “Thunderbolts” film will reportedly clock in at 126 minutes, the film’s final runtime unveiled this week reports CBM.

At the same time, the earliest box-office estimates for the movie have been revealed with BoxOfficeTheory.com indicating the film is on track to take in between $67-82 million domestically over the course of its opening weekend.

Though it seems low for Marvel, the film’s relatively controlled $180 million budget and relative obscureness means it was never going to be one of the MCU’s biggest earners.

Some have also criticised Marvel for possibly spoiling the film as the recent “Avengers: Doomsday” casting chair livestream has confirmed that six of the core seven actors will appear in that film.

The casting chairs showed that Sebastian Stan (Winter Solider), Florence Pugh (Yelena), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Wyatt Russell (John Walker), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost) and Lewis Pullman (Bob/Sentry) all appear in ‘Doomsday’ and, short of them being variants, may rob the film of any real stakes.

Only one name was absent, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster, but that character has long been speculated as being killed off very early into the new film as they are extremely limited in their appearances in trailers and publicity material and always covered in a mask.

In the film, the group of antiheroes are caught in a deadly trap by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and are forced into a dangerous mission that could bring them redemption if they unite as a team. “Thunderbolts* ” is slated to open on May 2nd.
