The fourth Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man” film has received a title – “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”. In addition, the studio has released the first logo for the film which is slated to open in cinemas on July 31st 2026.
The title reveal follows the recent casting of “Stranger Things” and “O’Dessa” star Sadie Sink in the film alongside Holland. Her role is unknown, but has been rumored to be that of X-Men mutant Jean Grey.
“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the new film, taking over for Jon Watts who helmed the first three. Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna penned the screenplay.
Zendaya is also expected back as MJ but her role will very likely be reduced to essentially a cameo as she will be busy filming “Dune: Messiah” while this is in production and shooting this Summer.
Holland is currently filming Chris Nolan’s “The Odyssey” in Europe and has previously hinted the new film will be “different to anything we’ve done before”. The last film effectively allows for a soft reboot of the franchise.
The movie is also the biggest one to release between the two new “Avengers” movies, so it’s not quite clear what we can expect to see in the film and how much it will tie into those.
