IHG 15% Off Points & Cash Discount For Stays Through May 14, 2025 (Book By April 14)

IHG has launched a targeted Points & Cash discount, which a reader forwarded to us. This discount allows select members to save 15%.

The discount is valid for stays through May 14, 2025, and must be booked by April 14.

Note that the 15% discount applies to the CASH portion of the Points & Cash.

IHG doesn’t have Points & Cash in a traditional sense, but it rather sells you the points needed for the award at a discount and then redeems the stay at the full points price.

If you cancel a Points & Cash reservation, you will receive the full points back in your account, but the points purchase transaction will never be refunded.

You can sometimes buy IHG points through Points & Cash at the same price as doing it directly, but this doesn’t affect the yearly points purchase cap.

Conclusion

This is basically a workaround for purchasing more IHG points, and it always surprises some that the purchase transaction is not reversed if you cancel the reservation.

My account was not eligible for this offer, so I cannot post possible price examples.

This discount offer (‘Offer’) is available to those IHG One Rewards members granted access to the discount when booking a Reward Night at a participating hotel through an official IHG online reservations site while signed into their IHG One Rewards account. To qualify for this Offer, Points & Cash bookings must be booked from 31 March 2025 to 14 April 2025, (the ‘Booking Window’), for stays from 31 March 2025 to 14 May 2025. A member must be logged in to their IHG One Rewards account at the time of booking to access the discount.

Points & Cash allows you to redeem a combination of your existing Points and Points purchased at the timing of booking, to book a Reward Night. The Offer is for a 10% discount on the cash portion of Points & Cash bookings. This 10% discount is offered at the time of booking and only applies to the cash portion of the booking.

Cash components of a Points & Cash Reward Night price that are viewed in currencies other than U.S. dollars will be adjusted, as needed, to reflect the U.S. dollar equivalent at the time of payment. All other Reward Night terms and conditions apply. Upon completion of the Points purchase to book a Points & Cash Reward Night, you agree that the total U.S. dollar equivalent will be immediately charged to the valid credit card or approved payment method you specified. The cash used for the Points purchased is non-refundable.

If the Reward Night is cancelled in accordance with Reward Nights terms and conditions and within the hotel’s cancellation policy, both the points used and the points purchased in cash will be refunded in points only.

The offer is based on the time zone of the participating hotels at time of booking. Please note that the Booking Windows will vary slightly, due to time zones, depending on where you are located and where the desired properties are located.  You should keep in mind the time zones that apply to your desired participating hotel when making your bookings to ensure you fall within the Booking Window for your desired property.
