SAN ANTONIO, TX – Hotel Emma, Texas’ only AAA Five Diamond hotel and a two-key Michelin property located in the heart of Pearl, has announced two key hires to its food & beverage leadership team. Joshua Scott has been appointed to direct the hotel’s F&B, overseeing Hotel Emma’s three on-site dining destinations: Sternewirth, an upscale city bar and clubroom; Larder, focused on freshly prepared artisanal food and groceries; and Supper, a seasonally driven three-meal-per-day restaurant. Mark Metzger joins as Executive Pastry Chef at Supper. Scott and Metzger bring a combined 40 years of hospitality experience to the table.
Scott joins the Hotel Emma team from Fort Worth’s Kimpton Harper Hotel, where he spent two years as Director of F&B. With a Business degree from Texas Tech University, Scott’s Lone Star State roots run deep. Independently, he is the owner of Seymour Hospitality Recruiting, an executive placement firm focused on the hospitality industry.
“My passion is crafting memorable experiences that will resonate with Hotel Emma’s guests and team members alike,” said Joshua Scott, Director of Food & Beverage at Hotel Emma. “I look forward to fostering a team atmosphere that drives lasting success and cultivates a culture of enjoyment and shared achievement, particularly in this milestone 10th anniversary year.”
Mark Metzger has held Executive Pastry Chef positions for nearly 20 years, beginning his tenure at the Vail Cascade Resort in 2006. Metzger hails from Staten Island, NY, but most recently, he led the pastry program at the five-star Montage Healdsburg Resort in Sonoma Valley.
