Morgan Wallen is taking a break from the bar scene — and for good reason.

The country music sensation opened up to Theo Von on the This Past Weekend podcast (which was shared to YouTube on Wednesday, April 2) about his decision to stay away from bars since his infamous incident in April 2024.

More from Spin:

Wallen, 31, faced multiple charges for reckless endangerment and one for disorderly conduct after tossing a chair from a building – which landed near two police officers below – last year. He revealed in the podcast that his rising fame has made everyday life more challenging.

“It’s not ideal to go everywhere, and even if you don’t get bothered, you were on edge the whole time because you thought you might. It’s like, there’s just things that you don’t do, you just don’t do them anymore,” he said to Von.

He continued, “I ain’t been in a bar since the last time I was in a bar that everybody knows about. The most public time I was in a bar, that’s the last time I was in a bar.” That bar was Eric Church’s Nashville bar, Chiefs on Broadway.

Much of Wallen’s focus now is on his music. His new album I’m the Problem is set to drop on May 16, with the accompanying I’m The Problem Tour kicking off June 20 in Houston.
