Extended Sneak Peek: James Gunn’s “Superman”

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios have premiered an extended five-minute sneak peek for James Gunn’s “Superman” film – the clip debuting just three months ahead of the film’s release.

Premiering at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this evening, the clip comes as Warner Bros. Pictures finally confirmed this will premiere in front of IMAX copies of the movie this weekend with “A Minecraft Movie”.

The new trailer follows in the wake of various reports about the film’s test screenings which are either gushing or mixed depending upon the source, one of the more recent ones claiming the divided opinions are due to the episodic nature of the narrative which reportedly feels akin to the “All-Star Superman” comic.

The new film will follow Superman as he looks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.

“Superman” stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/The Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.

Filming on the movie wrapped in July last year and is remaining steadfast on track to hit cinemas on July 11th 2025.
