Shudder Marks 10th Anniversary with Year-Long Celebration of Fan Events, Film Series, and More

This year marks the 10-year anniversary for Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium horror streaming service, and they’re celebrating with a year’s worth of festivities that include special fan events, programming, custom merchandise and much more.

Shudder 10, which kicks off during Shudder’s annual “Halfway to Halloween” programming event, will also feature a nationwide screening tour, “Shudder 10 Screening Series,” that’ll include a curated selection of Shudder films.

“Since day one, Shudder has hoped to showcase the breadth and depth of horror, crafting and releasing provocative, frightening work with renowned masters and pioneering new voices, said Sam Zimmerman, Head of Programming for Shudder. “It’s humbling to establish a mark on the genre we love so much, at a time when horror is perhaps more widely embraced than ever before. This year, we celebrate where Shudder’s been and give our members a taste of the horrors to come.”

  • The chills and thrills continue throughout the year with highly anticipated new films debuting every month, including star-studded new releases, return engagements from celebrated Shudder filmmakers, hit movies straight from theaters, and Shudder’s biggest franchise slate ever. Highlights include Sundance Film Festival standout The Ugly Stepsister (May), Aaron Paul and Eiza González sci-fi thriller Ash (June), buzzy slasher Clown In A Cornfield (Summer), and new installments of popular Shudder franchises V/H/S (Fall), Hell House LLC (Fall), The Creep Tapes (Fall), The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula (Fall) and The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs (Monthly).
  • All year long, Shudder members will have access to special curated collections in celebration of Shudder’s 10th Anniversary, including:
    • “The Movies That Made Shudder” featuring the streamer’s signature films from the first 10 years such as Late Night with the DevilTerrified, When Evil Lurks, In A Violent Nature, Speak No Evil, Host, Watcher, Skinamarink, the V/H/S franchise and more
    • “Bloody Birthdays” celebrating other milestone anniversaries of iconic horror films including Phantom of the Opera (1925 – 100 years), Repulsion (1965 – 60 years), Fright Night (1985 – 40 years), Land of the Dead (2005 – 20 years), Crimson Peak (2015 – 10 years) and more.
    • Shudder 10 x 10 Spotlights” monthly top 10 lists highlighting Shudder favorites in a variety of categories from Body Horror to Haunted Houses to Sci-Fi.

Festivals & Events:

As the official sponsor of this weekend’s Overlook Festival, Shudder will host the Opening Night party featuring a Shudder-branded Second Line parade performing classic horror theme songs and creepy characters parading the French Quarter.

The festival also hosts Shudder screenings of Monster Islanda Centerpiece screening of The Ugly Stepsister, and Clown In A Cornfield serving as the Closing Night event. Additional screenings include Best Wishes To All and Fréwaka, and the streamer’s upcoming sci-fi thriller ASH, starring Aaron Paul and Eiza González, from Grammy-nominated artist and filmmaker Flying Lotus, who will serve as the inaugural Guest Curator of the Festival, including a personal selection of retro programming.

  • “Shudder 10 Screening Series”

Kicking off in April and running through the fall, Shudder’s nationwide screening tour, “Shudder 10 Screening Series,” will feature a curated selection of Shudder films that are making their big screen debut, including The Amusement Park, The Dark And The Wicked, Deadstream, Host, La Llorona, Mad God, Mandy, The Medium, Oddity, One Cut Of The Dead, Revenge, Skinamarink, Terrified, Tigers Are Not Afraid and Watcher.

The tour will make stops at IFC Center in New York City, Music Box in Chicago, SIFF in Seattle, The Coolidge in Boston, Popcorn Frights Film Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Gateway Film Center in Columbus, Screenland Armor in Kansas City, all Soho House locations and more. Fan Activations:

  • On Friday, June 13 — the only Friday the 13th of 2025 — Shudder will host a Shudder Anniversary Tattoo Party at Wild Heart Tattoo Parlor (154 Nassau Ave, Brooklyn, NY) for the most dedicated of horror fans to get inked with Shudder-inspired flash options. That evening, The Future of Film Is Female will host a double-feature anniversary event at the Nitehawk Williamsburg down the street for fans.
  • Shudder and Mutant have partnered on a series of Shudder 10 special edition screen-printed posters. Ten films will be selected from Shudder’s deep library for exclusive prints by various artists, including award-winning illustrator Matt Ryan Tobin, who is known for his work on new prints for The Exorcist, Chucky, Jaws and other popular films. Additional artists will be announced this summer.
  • Exclusive, limited edition Shudder 10 merchandise, including pillows in the shape of iconic horror movie weapons, branded pins, temporary tattoos, and more, will be available at the Shudder Shop.

  • Fans are invited to join the celebration on @shudder for #HalfwaytoHalloween, featuring film recommendations to watch throughout the month.
  • The #Shudder10 campaign will include video shoutouts from Shudder alumni talent and filmmakers including David DastmalchianFlying LotusThe Boulet Brothers and more.
