It’ll be a short turnaround for those FPS fans looking forward to the full release of com8com1 Software’s Bloodshed. The developer has announced that their their adrenaline-fueled fusion of FPS gunplay, roguelite progression, and “Survivors-like” mayhem will be exiting Early Access on Steam and launching in full on May 22.

The full release of Bloodshed is aiming to have a “well-balanced and polished gameplay experience, featuring a variety of different playable characters with unique abilities and skills, a large number of weapons and abilities, multiple playable chapters in distinct biomes, and a greatly expanded number of different enemies with their own tactics and strategies.”

The initial Early Access release back in December launched with the following features:

  • 3 playable characters
  • 1 fully playable chapter incl. main and side quests
  • 3 different maps/biomes
  • 20+ different enemy types
  • A complex, deep and fundamentally balanced system of leveling progression, upgrades and unlocks

In keeping with its throwback roots, Bloodshed is minimalist in terms of its story. Players will face the malevolent threat of the Cult, whose members are pursuing a sinister plan to resurrect an ancient deity to bring about the apocalypse. You must battle endless waves of cultists, undead, demons, and other creatures of the night and put them back in the ground.

The game’s unique blend of roguelite mechanics and FPS action ensures that every session feels fresh and challenging. As players battle to survive each run, they can collect experience points, upgrade their skills and weapons, and gain access to powerful abilities.

Even death won’t stop players from progressing. Persistent upgrades, unlockable content, and continuous improvement await in Bloodshed, with the ability to exchange hard-earned cash for permanent upgrades. Players can also complete optional objectives to unlock new skills and game features, ensuring each run pushes them further into the depths of the cult’s sinister world.
