Raging Nathans announce new LP, touring with Dead Kennedys & HR of Bad Brains

Dayton, Ohio punks The Raging Nathans have announced their sixth album, Room For One More, due May 16 via Rad Girlfriend Records (US), Brassneck Records (UK), and Thousand Island Records (CA). It was recorded and mixed by current Less Than Jake drummer Matt Yonker, and it features guest vocals on a song by hometown hero Robert Pollard of Guided by Voices.

The first single is “The Grudge,” a no-frills, catchy punk song that comes with a Josh Roush-directed video of the band tearing it up in an empty warehouse. Here’s what guitarist/vocalist Josh Goldman tells us about it:

“The Grudge” is an angry, bitter song that hopefully sets the tone for the whole record. The songs on this album are about very real and specific things and people, and this song in particular I found to have a particularly powerful message about not being able to forgive and forget. I hope that the lyrics and melodies are relatable enough to give all the angry, bitter people out there something to nod their heads to. The video was shot by Josh Roush in our practice warehouse in Cincinnati. He did a great job and I think it’s a perfect visual representation of the song.
