GTA6 Trailer #2 Gets 68M Views In One Day

The second trailer for Rockstar Games’ “Grand Theft Auto VI” has pulled in 68 million views on YouTube in its first 24 hours.

That’s down on the 93 million views that the first trailer scored back in December 2023, but that trailer was a first reveal and had a countdown and buildup to its launch.

By contrast, this second trailer was abruptly posted by the company at 9:30am US-ET yesterday with little to no warning. The figure above doesn’t include any of the viewership numbers elsewhere on social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, X and more.

The trailer release has been a hit, a Reddit posting indicating it hit 1 million likes in 40 minutes on YouTube, setting a new record in the process.

The first trailer hit the 250 million view mark on YouTube back in April, almost a year-and-a-half after its release.

GTA6 is now set for a May 26th 2026 release, the locking down of the date is already having an impact on the release schedule with multiple titles expected to be announced for a Fall 2025 and pre-May 2026 release as everyone gets out of the way of the Rockstar juggernaut.
