The ‘Advanced Technology Innovation Tours’ will provide the opportunity to explore Pittsburgh’s vibrant robotics, AI and advanced manufacturing ecosystem with behind-the-scenes access to local companies at the forefront of global innovation:

Gecko Robotics – Gecko Robotics uses fixed sensors and robots that climb, crawl, swim, and fly along with predictive AI to inspect and maintain critical infrastructure, including power plants, oil refineries, and most recently, military aircraft.

CMU Mission Control – Carnegie Mellon University’s Mission Control, a new command hub, provides state-of-the-art equipment for the crews of the Iris and MoonRanger missions as well as future space robotics initiatives.

CMU Biometrics Center – Carnegie Mellon University’s Biometrics Center, a global leader in AI and biometrics research, seeks to improve the accuracy of biometric systems with robust development and testing, with a focus on 3D face reconstruction, 2D pose correction, and 2D facial landmark detection.

CMU Robotics Institute – Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute is a worldwide hub of robotics research, focusing on core robotics technologies like manipulation, locomotion, and control, as well as machine learning, computer vision, and graphics.
