Following the first photos yesterday, the first trailer is here for dystopian horror film “The Loing Walk” directed by “The Hunger Games” alum Francis Lawrence.
The film’s story is based on the 1979 novel of the same name by Stephen King, Penned under King’s pseudonym Richard Bachman and perceived as a political allegory for the Vietnam War.
King’s story is set in a future dystopian America in which one hundred teenage boys participate in an annual non-stop walking contest.
The rules are simple: maintain a speed above 3 miles per hour. Receive three warnings in an hour and you’re shot dead. The last one walking gets whatever he wants for the rest of his life.
The story follows a sixteen-year-old walker named Raymond Garraty and the teens, some good, some bad, some mysterious, in his orbit.
Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Mark Hamill and Judy Greer star in the film which will be released in cinemas on September 12th.
