Second Trailer: Evans, Pascal In “Materialists”

A24 has premiered a second trailer for “Materialists,” its new romantic drama that hails from critically acclaimed “Past Lives” director Celine Song.

Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal star in this love-triangle tale in which Johnson plays an ambitious young female New York City matchmaker who finds herself torn between two quite different people.

On the one hand there’s a charming, very rich, hot and seemingly perfect older man match (Pascal), on the other is a struggling and imperfect yet genuinely good-hearted and handsome ex-boyfriend (Evans).

One offers a life of financial freedom and status, the other unfulfilled passions and forgotten dreams. Song also writes the film with several “Past Lives” crewmembers returning in the same capacity here.

Zoë Winters, Marin Ireland, Dasha Nekrasova, Louisa Jacobson, Sawyer Spielberg and Eddie Cahill co-star in the film which was shot in May last year.

Song, David Hinojosa, Christine Vachon, and Pamela Koffler serve as producers on the film which opens in cinemas on June 13th.
