Formia has announced new partnerships and product developments across its global airline network, highlighting them in April at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) in Hamburg.

The new launches include amenity kit collaborations with luxury brands Lancel, Graff and Elie Saab, alongside an expanded focus on branded inflight comfort items, such as bedding and sleepwear.

Aeromexico

Formia has introduced Business Class kits for Aeromexico in partnership with French leathergoods house Lancel. Founded in 1886, Lancel is known for its heritage craftsmanship and forward-thinking design.

The kits feature two bag styles and contain travel essentials such as skincare products from B Corp-certified beauty brand Teaology, which creates matcha tea-based formulas through its patented “tea infusion skincare” technology.

Passengers will also receive slippers, an eye mask made from recycled PET fabric, and dental kit with a wheat straw toothbrush as part of the onboard offering.

Encouraging reuse, the Lancel kits are designed to be used beyond the cabin

Aeromexico Digital and Customer Experience Vice President & EVP Andres Castañeda said, “Aeromexico is thrilled to announce its partnership with Lancel and Formia, which represents a wonderful opportunity to enhance the service we offer our passengers.

“We are introducing a brand-new exclusive design of our amenity kit in the Premier Cabin. We are sure that this new version, which combines beauty and functionality, will delight our customers, elevating their journey to an extraordinary experience.”

Formia CEO & Managing Partner Roland Grohmann added, “Formia is delighted to curate these elegant kits for Aeromexico with French luxury maison Lancel and tea infusion skincare brand Teaology.

“A unique collaboration crafted to elevate the experience for every Business Class traveller during their travels and long after.”

Korean Air

Also showcased at WTCE were Formia’s amenity kits for First and Prestige Class passengers onboard Korean Air, developed in partnership with British high jewellery house Graff.

Designed in classic navy tones, the gender-specific First Class kits and unisex Business Class pouches include Graff skincare products such as facial mist, lip balm, hand cream and a fragrance inspired by the house’s Lesedi La Rona diamond.

The new Graff kits align with Korean Air’s refreshed corporate identity

Grohmann said, “Formia is honoured to partner with Korean Air and Graff to introduce this exceptional collection of amenity kits.

“This collaboration represents a perfect blend of luxury, craftsmanship and innovation, and we are proud to bring Graff’s unparalleled elegance to the airline’s passengers. These kits are designed to create unforgettable experiences in the air and beyond.”

Saudia

Saudia, the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has also introduced Formia amenity kits across its premium cabins through a debut partnership with Lebanese fashion and lifestyle house Elie Saab.

First Class female travellers receive vanity kits in quilted faux leather for outbound flights and jewellery box-style bags for inbound journeys, both featuring Elie Saab branding.

Male passengers receive voyager bags in pebble grain faux leather with a side handle and detachable strap.

Business Class guests receive two Elie Saab amenity bag designs for their outbound and inbound flights.

All kits feature Elie Saab skincare products, including face mist, hand and body lotion and a signature eau de toilette. Toothbrushes, socks and eye masks are crafted from eco-conscious materials, and the dental kit comes in FSC-certified packaging.

Elie Saab has brought its designs to the skies, marking a first with Saudia

Saudia Chief Guest Experience Officer Rossen Dimitrov commented, “This collaboration with Elie Saab is a defining moment in Saudia’s journey to elevate guest experience and redefine inflight luxury.

“This partnership represents the essence of Saudia’s transformation, where timeless design and forward-thinking innovation come together to inspire and captivate our guests at every moment.”

Grohmann added, “We are pleased to present an elegant collection for Saudia’s premium guests in collaboration with Elie Saab, demonstrating the perfect blend of sustainability and luxury.

“Formia is proud to have facilitated this exclusive partnership for Saudia, marking the debut of Elie Saab for airline passengers.”

Elie Saab Group CEO Elie Saab Jr said, “We are delighted to collaborate with Saudia and offer guests a glimpse into the refined world of Elie Saab.

“This bespoke collection has been meticulously designed to bring the elegance and sophistication of Elie Saab’s signature style to the skies.”

Expanding inflight comfort

Alongside branded amenity launches, Formia is growing its offering in the inflight comfort category. The company has expanded its portfolio of textiles and bedding, now offering items such as duvets, blankets, pillowcases, mattresses, sleepwear and duvet bags.

Formia showcased the range at WTCE following a debut at the show’s 2024 edition, where it won the Travel Plus Award for its Saudia First Class Sleepersuit.

Formia Chief Commercial Officer Niklas Sandor said, “In many conversations over the course of the past few years, we’ve consistently heard from our customers that they’d like to see crossover opportunities into the branded sleepwear, loungewear and bedding categories.

Over the past year, Formia has strengthened its in-house team specialising in comfort-focused design

“We see this expansion as an opportunity to bring never-before-seen collaborations to life and add further value to our customer relationships.”

Formia has strengthened its internal design teams dedicated to comfort-focused innovation and now offers end-to-end production and delivery capabilities through its global supply chain network.

Grohmann added, “We’re excited to introduce new innovations in passenger inflight comfort, seamlessly integrating premium brands to elevate the passenger experience – delivering greater distinction and value to every journey.”

Progress with purpose

Formia has received the EcoVadis Bronze Medal, placing it among the top 26% of over 150,000 companies assessed for sustainability and CSR. The rating evaluates companies across four themes: environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

At WTCE 2025, Formia showcased its sustainability efforts through a hands-on exhibit tracing product lifecycles from raw materials to onboard use.

Formia’s Sustainability Zone immersed airline partners in the product lifecycle through a tactile, multi-sensory experience

The company unveiled its ‘Circularity-as-a-Service’ concept, aiming to support airlines in reducing waste and adopting circular practices in amenity kit programmes.

“We believe sustainability isn’t a department – it’s a mindset embedded into everything we do,” said Formia Senior Sustainability Manager Freddie Rollason.

“While the EcoVadis medal marks progress, our focus is on the future: to lead towards new innovative approaches to reducing environment impact.” ✈
