“Elsbeth” will wrap up its latest run of episodes by welcoming back nine guest stars for its Season 2 finale.
Alyssa Milano, Ethan Slater and Retta are among the familiar suspects set to return for the conclusion of Season 2, which sees Carrie Preston’s Elsbeth coming-face-to-face with a handful of people from past cases as she tries to solve a murder.
Additional guest stars returning for the Season 2 finale, which premieres May 8, include Stephen Moyer, Gina Gershon, Elizabeth Lail, Arian Moayed, André De Shields and Mary-Louise Parker.
Moyer, Retta, Gershon, Lail, Moayed and De Shields appeared in “Elsbeth” Season 1, while Milano, Parker and Slater appear in episodes from the sophomore installment of the CBS series — Parker and Slater’s debuts will air ahead of the finale.
“We have always tried to make ‘Elsbeth’ a place for the best actors to come and play. We must be doing something right since so many of our special guest stars managed to clear their schedules and join us again,” showrunner and EP Jonathan Tolins said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more excited for this wild reunion between Elsbeth and some of her favorite suspects.”
The Season 2 finale, titled “Ramen Holiday,” is written by Tolins and directed by Lionel Coleman.
While the guest star-filled episode caps off Season 2, it’s not the end of the road for “Elsbeth,” as the show has already been granted a Season 3 renewal at CBS. “Elsbeth” was among the CBS shows that scored renewals in February, which also included “Tracker,” “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” “Hollywood Squares,” “Fire Country,” “NCIS,” “NCIS: Sydney” and “NCIS: Origins.”
“Elsbeth,” which is produced by CBS Studios, is currently averaging 11 million multiplatform viewers.
Tolins executive produces “Elsbeth” alongside Robert King, Michelle King, Liz Glotzer, Erica Shelton Kodish, Bryan Goluboff and Gail Barringer.
“Elsbeth”airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and streams the next day on Paramount+.
