Screamo legends Portraits of Past announce reunion tour

Portraits of Past, who helped invent screamo as we know it, announced in February that they’d be returning in the spring for their first shows since their brief 2008-2009 reunion. Musician and music journalist Hank Shteamer asked them in an Instagram comment at the time if there was a chance of East Coast shows too, and they said “sure.” And now they’ve made good on that and announced a summer tour.

It begins with the Los Angeles Your Renaissance festival date they announced in February, and also includes a second California show in San Francisco a few days later, Portland and Seattle in June, and Midwest and East Coast shows in August.

There’s a NYC show at Le Poisson Rouge on August 22, followed by dates in Philly and Boston. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 21 at 10 AM local. All dates are listed below.
