Was das Lied „Chop Suey“ so großartig macht

„Chop Suey“ gehört für mich zu einem der besten Rock-Songs aller Zeiten und ist irgendwo da oben bei „Bohemian Rhapsody“, was Originalität und Tempowechsel anbelangt. Das 2001 von System of a Down veröffentlichte Lied erfreut sich auch rund ein Vierteljahrhundert später noch größer Beliebtheit und besitzt noch immer einen großen Status. So groß, dass Drumeo „Chop Suey“ ein eigenes Video gewidmet hat. Das beleuchtet natürlich vor allem das besondere Schlagzeugspiel, weiß aber auch die Geschichte hinter dem Song nochmal anzureißen.
