Butler, White Team On A24’s “Enemies”?

Austin Butler and Jeremy Allen White are reportedly in talks to star in the $25 million budgeted espionage thriller feature “Enemies” at distributor A24.

Reel Chicago broke the news, indicating that the project will shoot for 30 filming days in Chicago and says that much of the film crew coming onto this will do so directly after wrapping filming of the fourth season of FX’s “The Bear”.

Production offices will reportedly open within the next two weeks ahead of filming to begin in June at locations throughout the Chicago area.

Plot details for the action suspense film are under wraps beyond a ‘spy vs. spy’ and between the two male leads. No details have been given regarding a director, writer or producers.

Butler most recently shot Darren Aronofsky’s “Caught Stealing” while White filmed the Bruce Springsteen biopic “Deliver Me From Nowhere” and lends his voice to “The Mandalorian & Grogu”.

White began shooting the remaining three-and-a-half episodes of “The Bear” fourth season last month.
