Pascal & Heyman Confirmed For James Bond

It’s official, Amazon has issued a press release confirming reports the other week that Amy Pascal and David Heyman are set to serve as producers for the next 007 movie.
Pascal will produce the film via her Pascal Pictures banner while Heyman will produce via Heyday Films. Pascal and Heyman say in a statement:
“James Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema. We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson who made so many extraordinary films and honored and excited to keep the spirit of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure.”
Former Sony Pictures boss Pascal is known for her producing work on the “Spider-Man” franchise including the last three Marvel “Spider-Man” films, the two “Spider-Verse” movies, the “Venom” films and movies like “Challengers,” “Little Women,” “The Post,” and “Molly’s Game”.
Heyman produced all eight film adaptations of the “Harry Potter” books along with the three “Fantastic Beasts” films, the first two “Paddington” films, “Wonka,” “Gravity,” “Barbie,” “Marriage Story” and “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood”.
Amazon MGM Studios’ Head of Film, Courtenay Valenti, says in a statement:
“We are approaching every creative decision with James Bond, which Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have so masterfully steered, with the greatest sense of responsibility. Part of an elite group of producers who have developed and managed massive film franchises to box office success and critical acclaim, Amy Pascal and David Heyman are two of the most accomplished, experienced, and respected film producers in our industry. We are honored to be working with them on James Bond’s next chapter and are excited to deliver to global audiences storytelling that upholds the impeccable legacy of this beloved character.”
Pascal’s upcoming projects include Lord and Miller’s “Project Hail Mary,” the Nic Cage-led “Spider-Noir,” Greta Gerwig’s “Narnia” film, and Noah Baumbach’s “Jay Kelly”. Heyman’s upcoming works include Taika Waititi’s “Klara and the Sun,” the recent SXSW premiering “The Rivals of Amziah King,” and HBO’s upcoming “Harry Potter” TV series.
