Long-running video game magazine Game Informer, which was shut down last Summer after 33 years of publishing, has returned with the outlet being purchased by Gunzilla Games and now operating under a completely independent company label with the creative team given complete autonomy and editorial independence.
100% of the team who were publishing the magazine in its final months are returning with both digital and print editions set to be published again. A full video explaining the magazine’s resurrection is up on YouTube.
The Roses
Searchlight has announced that the Jay Roach-directed comedy “The Roses,” a reimagining of Danny DeVito’s 1989 pitch black divorce comedy “The War of the Roses,” has set an August 29th release date – just in time for the labor day weekend.
Tony McNamara pens the film about picture-perfect couple Ivy (Olivia Colman) and Theo (Benedict Cumberbatch) who have it all. When his career nosedives and her ambitions take off, fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites. Haliey Welch, who became famous overnight after the release of the ‘hawk tuah’ viral video, will be the subject of an upcoming documentary by Bungalow Media + Entertainment (“Surviving Jeffrey Epstein,” “Little Richard: I Am Everything”)

Verity
Amazon MGM Studios has set a May 15th 2026 release date for Michael Showalter’s “Verity” based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling psychological thriller novel. Josh Hartnett, Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, Ismael Cruz Cordóva, and Brady Wagner star in the film with Nick Antosca penning the current screenplay.
The story follows struggling Lowen Ashleigh who is hired as a ghostwriter for renowned author Verity Crawford under mysterious circumstances, but her assignment takes a dark turn after discovering chilling autobiographical notes involving deadly family secrets. Lowen struggles to separate fiction from reality, while also blurring the lines with Verity’s husband. [Source: Variety]
Sinners
Ryan Coogler’s supernatural period thriller “Sinners,” starring Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, has scored a new featurette and poster touting the film’s IMAX 70mm release. The feature was shot using IMAX cameras and unfolds in Mississippi during the 1930s. The twins return to the southern state, hoping to start a new life after past traumas but encounter an unprecedented evil they must fight to escape.
