TFWA reveals updated design and networking agenda for 2025 Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference

SINGAPORE. Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has unveiled the refreshed design and enhanced networking programme for this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, to be held on 11-15 May in Singapore.

The event will feature a new scenography, combining classic design with modern elements.

The redesigned space will highlight organic architectural forms, contrasting materials and a warm colour scheme, complemented by natural greenery and pale wood accents, creating a cohesive atmosphere.

Visual references to Singapore’s urban landscape will be integrated throughout the venue, most notably through structural elements resembling the Gardens by the Bay Supertrees, serving as key markers for programme details and wayfinding.

The refreshed concept will also include functional, eco-friendly furniture and décor across all service areas, including registration, bars, business centres, press areas, rest areas and one-to-one meeting rooms.

The exhibition will open at 1pm on Monday (12 May) to maximise time for business meetings between brands and visitors in the halls.

The networking programme includes opportunities for business dialogue, including a coffee break. The Welcome Cocktail on Sunday (11 May) at Gardens by the Bay will showcase an ‘Enchanted Gardens’ theme with a futuristic ambiance, highlighting the event’s focus on the next generation of travel retail.

The TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge will be returning on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (12-14 May), with extended timings from 6pm to 9pm at Marina Bay Sands level 4. The expanded space will offer more room for indoor and outdoor socialising, updated décor and a refreshed food menu.

This year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Conference is officially hosted by Changi Airport Group, with additional support from the City of Singapore and the Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau.

TFWA President Philippe Margueritte said, “At TFWA, throughout our history we have prided ourselves on consistently striving to offer the best and most valuable experience possible to our members and visitors to our events.

The new look we will be bringing to Singapore is a demonstration of our commitment to ensuring we offer our industry the finest business environments and dedication to adapting to an ever-changing future, while retaining the status of our events as diary essentials.”

China Duty Free will be the conference’s diamond sponsor, with Avolta as the platinum sponsor. Mondelēz International will sponsor the welcome coffee, Lindt will sponsor the networking coffee and Skross will provide charging stations.

Qatar Duty Free will serve as the main partner of the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge, with snacks and refreshments to be provided by Duty Free Global, Crafter’s, Herita Marzotto Wine Estates, Heineken, Wonderful Pistachios and Perfetti Van Melle. ✈
