Dogs On Acid (3/4 of Algernon Cadwallader) announce reunion tour & 10th anniversary album reissue
Not only are Algernon Cadwallader back, but now post-Algernon Dogs On Acid are back too.

Not only are Algernon Cadwallader back, Algernon offshoot Dogs On Acid are also returning in 2025 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their sole 2015 self-titled album. The band recently announced that they’re playing Lauren Records’ Growing Up Is Dumb fest in LA on April 5 (which Algernon are also playing), and now they announced a 10th anniversary reissue of their album for Lauren Records and tour dates happening after the fest. You can pick up the LP (on its own or bundled with a t-shirt) here.
Dogs On Acid’s first headlining show after the fest happens at Brooklyn’s Market Hotel on April 26, and that’s followed by dates in Hamden, CT; Arlington, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Troy, NY; and a few other West Coast dates. All dates are listed below.
Singer/guitarist Peter Helmis says, “We’re excited to see this record back in circulation. We love it and never thought it got the full attention it deserved during our short existence and with the demise of Jade Tree. The three of us from Algernon are now tighter musically than we’ve ever been and jamming with Nate is a real treat. We’re having a blast preparing for the shows and look forward to melting faces.”
The band’s lineup is Peter, Joe Reinhart (guitar), and Nick Tazza (drums) from Algernon, plus bassist Nate Dionne, who used to be in Snowing and Glocca Morra. Snowing are also reuniting this year, sans Nate.
