Highest 2 Lowest
The first photo is out of A$AP Rocky in Spike Lee’s “Highest 2 Lowest” which co-stars Denzel Washington and will be released by A24 and Apple Studios. The film is targeting a Summer 2025 release.

Alan Fox and Lee penned the film which is dubbed a ‘reinterpretation’ of the acclaimed Akira Kurosawa classic “High & Low” but shifts the Washington character’s profession from Japanese shoemaker to New York record executive. Ice Spice and Jeffrey Wright co-star in the film. [Source: Instagram]

Untitled Sanda Dia Film
“Bad Boys for Life” filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are set to direct a film about the tragic true story of Sanda Dia, a 20-year-old Black engineering student who died from multiple organ failure in 2018 two days after enduring a brutal and violent fraternity hazing ritual at an elite university in Belgium.

The frat members only received community service and small fines for their actions, the incident sparking massive outrage. Komoko is producing the film. [Source: Variety]

Squirrels To The Nuts
Lionsgate has released a restored ‘director’s cut’ of late filmmaker Peter Bogdanovich’s final film, the screwball comedy “Squirrels to the Nuts” which was originally released as 2014’s “She’s Funny That Way”.

Owen Wilson, Imogen Poots, Kathryn Hahn, Cybill Shepherd, Austin Pendleton, Will Forte, Joanna Lumley, Richard Lewis, Jennifer Aniston and Rhy Ifans co-star in the film with the director’s cut running around a half hour longer with restored music and re-insertion of a framing device. Mickey 17 & The Day The Earth Blew Up
Warner Bros. Pictures has premiered new extended TV spots for two of their upcoming major features. First up comes a 70-second spot for Bong Joon Ho’s “Mickey 17,” the new spot playing up the comedy aspects of the sci-fi tale and highlighting that tickets for the film are now on sale ahead of its March 7th release.

Next there’s a one-minute spot for “The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” which opens a week later on March 14th – the first fully animated “Looney Tunes” movie in history to hit cinemas.
