“Solar Opposites,” “College Girls” Cancelled

Hulu has announced that the upcoming sixth season of its animated comedy series “Solar Opposites” will be the show’s last.

Though a renewal for a sixth season was announced a while back, today is when it was first announced as being the final run for the series. The sixth season will debut sometime in the Fall with a premiere date to be announced in the future.

The voice cast of the series includes Dan Stevens, Thomas Middleditch, Mary Mack, and Sean Giambrone.

It’s not the only cancellation today. Max has officially cancelled its coming-of-age comedy/drama “The Sex Lives of College Girls” after three seasons. The third season wrapped its run on January 23rd.

Warner Bros. Television is exploring opportunities to continue the series at another streamer such as Netflix, but such an attempt is considered “a long-shot”.

Showrunner/co-creator Justin Noble penned in an Instagram post that “we are currently in discussions with some new potential homes for the show, and it’s nice that there is so much interest.”
