Kevin Hart Set to Star in Netflix Comedy 72 HOURS From Director Tim Story

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart (Central Intelligence, Jumanji) has signed on to star in a new comedy feature at Netflix from director Tim Story (Taxi, Ride Along, Tom & Jerry). The film is being written by Matt Mider, Kevin Burrows, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. The project, titled 72 Hours, stars Hart as a 40-year-old executive who hopes to save his flailing career by joining a group of twenty-somethings on a wild three-day bachelor party after he’s inadvertently added to their group text. The film is being produced by Hart’s Hartbeat, Davis Entertainment, Counterbalance and Will Packer. Ross Fanger executive produces. It is being produced under the existing partnership where Sony Pictures offers Netflix a first look at films it intends to make for streaming.The movie marks Hart and Story’s fifth collaboration following the successful Think Like a Man and Ride Along movies. The comedy films all debuted at the top of the box office and collectively earned more than $445 million worldwide.72 Hours also continues Hart’s partnership with Netflix, where the comedian has starred in a string of movies including the international heist thriller Lift, the buddy comedy Me Time, the family drama Fatherhood, and the action comedy The Man from Toronto.
