Dezeen Showroom: German brand Villeroy & Boch has released a minimalist circular sink embellished with an intricate octagon pattern that is concealed within the basin.
Named Octagon, the washbasin is made from TitanCeram – Villeroy & Boch's state-of-the-art patented ceramic. It is available in two hues: stone white and pure black.
A faceted inner surface characterises the basin, while the outer sink is minimalistic and smooth.
"Similar to a cut crystal, the precisely crafted geometric surfaces come together to form a perfect octagon," said Villeroy & Boch.
Originally designed for luxury hotels, Octagon is suitable for residential settings thanks to its compact 42-centimetre outer diameter.
"The precise corners and edges are made possible by the innovative TitanCeram material that endows the ceramic with exceptional strength and meets the very highest quality requirements," the brand continued.
