Playboi Carti Drops ‘Music – Sorry 4 Da Wait’ Deluxe Album: Stream It Now
Carti surprised fans with the deluxe edition of his acclaimed third studio album Music on Tuesday.

Playboi Carti dropped the deluxe edition of his acclaimed third studio album Music as a surprise on Tuesday (March 25), via AWGE and Interscope Records.
The 27-year-old Atlanta rapper (real name Jordan Terrell Carter) added four songs to MUSIC – SORRY 4 DA WAIT: “Different Day,” “2024,” “Backr00ms” with Travis Scott and “FOMDJ.” He previously released “2024” and “Backr00ms” exclusively on his YouTube channel in December 2023 and January 2024, respectively, while he posted “Different Day” on his @opium_00pium Instagram account in December 2023. He debuted “FOMDJ” during his headlining set at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash last June and performed it again at ComplexCon last November. To coincide with the deluxe reissue, Carti also dropped the official visualizer for “FOMDJ” on YouTube.
Carti released the original, 30-track Music album on March 14. The set debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (dated March 29) with 298,000 equivalent album units, marking the biggest week of 2025 for a rap album and the biggest streaming week for any album in nearly a year, since Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department. Carti also became the first rapper (and only third artist overall) to have more than 30 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in a single week. All 30 songs from Music hit the all-genre songs tally – with “Evil J0rdan” and “Rather Lie” with The Weeknd reaching the top 10, at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively – and his Hot 100 No. 3 “Timeless” collab with The Weeknd from the pop superstar’s chart-topping Hurry Up Tomorrow album slides to No. 23.
