Netflix has released their full lineup of new arrivals for April 2025 this morning, and we’re here to shine the spotlight on the horror highlights of next month’s wave of fresh content.
First up and most notably, Charlie Brooker’s “Black Mirror” Season 7 debuts on Netflix on April 10, with six brand new episodes including a sequel to “USS Callister.”
“Black Mirror” Season 7 features Awkwafina, Will Poulter, Milanka Brooks, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Patsy Ferran, Paul Giamatti, Lewis Gribben, Osy Ikhile, Rashida Jones, Siena Kelly, Billy Magnussen, Rosy McEwen, Cristin Milioti, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, Paul G. Raymond, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jimmi Simpson, and Harriet Walter.
Lose your mind. Lose your reality. This season, nothing is as it seems…
April 3 marks the premiere of brand new Netflix anime series “Devil May Cry,” of course based on the Capcom video game franchise. The series was created by Adi Shankar.
You can expect eight episodes as part of this debut season.
In Netflix’s “Devil May Cry,” when a mysterious villain threatens to open the gates of Hell, a devilishly handsome demon hunter could be the world’s best hope for salvation.
Johnny Yong Bosch (“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” Akira) voices Dante.
April 3 will also see the premiere of “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory” Season 3, the next chapter in the animated series that serves as a sequel to Netflix’s “Camp Cretaceous.”
In the new season, “With trust in short supply, the Camp Fam moves forward in their quest to outsmart a clever foe. But new threats and surprises await them at every turn.”
The cast includes Paul-Mikél Williams as Darius Bowman, Darren Barnet as Kenji Kon, Sean Giambrone as Ben Pincus, Raini Rodriguez as Sammy Gutierrez, Kausar Mohammed as Yasmina “Yaz” Fadoula, Kiersten Kelly as Brooklyn, and Dichen Lachman as Soyona Santos.
Horror and science fiction fans may also want to check out the new Netflix limited series “Project UFO” when it premieres on April 16, described as “deadpan” and “offbeat.”
In the Polish series, “A smug TV host and a small-town ufologist work to uncover the origins of an alleged UFO sighting, splitting the nation in a storm of doubts and beliefs.”
Piotr Adamczyk, Mateusz Kościukiewicz, Maja Ostaszewska, Julia Kijowska, Adam Woronowicz, Stanisław Pąk, and Marianna Zydek star in “Project UFO.”
It looks to be more of a Speed-style thriller than a horror movie, but you also don’t want to miss Shin Godzilla director Shinji Higuchi’s Bullet Train Explosion, premiering April 23.
The film is actually a modern remake of the 1975 Japanese action thriller The Bullet Train, which inspired the ’90s hit Speed. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi leads the ensemble cast.
In the action-thriller, “When panic erupts on a Tokyo-bound bullet train that will explode if it slows below 100 kph, authorities race against time to save everyone on board.”
And finally, the final season of psychological thriller “You” will premiere April 24.
“In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.”
Penn Badgley stars alongside Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, Griffin Matthews, and Charlotte Ritchie. Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo have taken over as showrunners.
As for new catalog arrivals to Netflix in April 2025, they include Insidious Chapter 2 on April 1, Psycho on April 1, and The Addams Family on April 9.
Catalog titles leaving Netflix in April include IT on April 1, Scream on April 11, A Quiet Place Part II on April 12, and Hereditary on April 15.
