GeoGuessr Steam Edition Debuts in April
A Steam version of GeoGuessr will appear in Early Access in April 2025. The page for the game does not yet list the price. According to the developer comments on the Steam page, GeoGuessr will be in Early Access so that it can evolve the game alongside its players, as the game is “best experienced with a thriving community.” The full version of the game will include new game modes and customization options. Depending on player feedback, the game should be in Early Access for about six months, so the full version should come out in October 2025. Images via GeoGuessr After the game launches in Early Access, it’ll mostly focus on Solo and casual Team Duels. There will also be a progression system. From the screenshots and videos on the Steam page, we can see avatars that you can customize for yourself, so it’s likely that you will have to earn parts for these avatars via said progression system. GeoGuessr launched in 2013 as a browser-based geography game in which players must deduce a location using a photo from Google Street View. You can either play by yourself, or compete against others. Like the Animal Crossing boom, GeoGuessr became very popular during the COVID-19 pandemic when people were in quarantine, and it started using a subscription model in 2024. GeoGuessr is readily available on Internet browsers, and the Steam version will enter Early Access in April 2025. The post GeoGuessr Steam Edition Debuts in April appeared first on Siliconera.
