Beyoncé and Jay-Z are reportedly considering taking legal action against Kanye West after he launched a verbal attack on their two youngest children.
The incident took place earlier this week (March 18), when Ye made a series of posts on X/Twitter and fuelled rumours that the couple used vitro fertilisation to conceive their seven-year-old twins. He then threw their cognitive development into question.
“Wait has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyonce’s younger kids they’re r*******,” he wrote (via The Independent). “No like literally and this is why artificial insemination is such a blessing having r******* children is a choice.”
He then deleted the post and later re-uploaded it, doubling down on his stance. This involved clarifying to his followers that he had not deleted the post in order to be “a good person”.
“Fuck those k*** ass n***** and their entire families,” he wrote in one post, while another read: “Concerning the Jay Z and Beyoncé tweet n***** said I would regret it… I regret taking it down… my Twitter is a one way conversation.”
Now reports from Page Six have stated that the couple are considering taking legal action.
A source reportedly speaking to the outlet said that Beyoncé and Jay-Z found it “shocking” and that they “will absolutely not stand for it” after the controversial rapper “has spoken about their children in such a vulgar and offensive manner.”
“Jay-Z and Beyoncé are aware of the posts Kanye has since deleted and are discussing how they want to handle this situation, whether that be privately and/or in a legal matter,” they said also adding that they have “no plans” to address the posts publicly.
The couple did not respond to the outlet’s request for comment.
As well as Bey and Jay-Z being upset with the rapper’s series of tweets, Beyoncé’s mum Tina Knowles also hit back at Kanye West‘s posts.
“What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum? He has a meltdown,” she said in a social media post. In the caption, she wrote: “It’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil. But I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper. This battle is not mine, but the Lords, I know that God has got this.”
The caption was later changed and most of her comments were removed from the post on her Instagram page.
Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian has also hit out at the rapper for the comments. Another anonymous source recently spoke to Page Six and said that Kardashian is “appalled” by the posts and is “done trying to be reasonable with Kanye when it comes to communication.”
Just days before his Twitter rant, the rapper claimed his new album ‘Bully’ featured disgraced rap mogul Diddy, his son Christian “King” Combs, Yeezy artist Jasmine Williams and West’s own 11-year-old daughter, North. The song sparked “war” between Kanye and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, with whom she shares North.
