Ty Segall announces ‘L.A. RECOVERS’ wildfire relief benefit ft Redd Kross, Shannon & The Clams, No Age, and more

Ty Segall has spearheaded a new compilation, L.A. RECOVERS, which benefits Los Angeles fire relief and recovery funds. The album features Ty, King Tuff, White Fence, No Age, Charles Moothart, Jack Name, Redd Kross, Emmett Kelly, Shannon & The Clams, Shannon Lay, The Intelligence, Meatbodies, and Mikal Cronin, each covering other artists on the comp. Names were drawn out of a hat to decide who would cover who. The album will be out late this summer.

Says Ty, “The idea of doing a comp turned into friends covering each other and we thought that would be a perfect thing to do for some L.A. fire relief charity fundraising. One thing was important – that everyone involved needed to have spent creative time living in L.A. It’s been very fun for everyone involved to cover each other’s music!”

L.A. RECOVERS will be out as a limited edition vinyl-only release via Ty and Denee Segall’s Classic Master Sound Recordings and Good Neighbor. Proceeds from sales will go to California Black Freedom Fund and One Voice LA.
